Founded by visionary Mr. Sachin Malpani in 1999, a dynamic personality and an entrepreneur from Malpani Family. The products were branded as Malpani’s Bake-lite to reflect the legacy, values and ethos of the renowned Malpani family.
Sachin Malpani was not interested in his traditional family business and wanted to carve a path for himself.
After having tried and failed at 8 business ventures, Sachin Malpani moved on to his 9th Business Venture with his never give up attitude.
It all began in Harihar Mandir at Raviwar Peth, Pune, in a 70 sq ft area, with just 10 Kgs Maida, a small oven and a mixer.
The journey began with a modest output of 5-10 kilograms of cookies daily under the name ‘Maharaja Gold.
Driven by a relentless pursuit of quality and innovation, the enterprise swiftly expanded, necessitating a strategic move to a spacious 1000-square-foot facility in Narhe MIDC in 2003. Here, amidst whirring machinery and tantalizing aromas, a legacy of excellence was forged.
A strong focus on finest quality ingredients, hygienic practices and strict vegetarianism led to strong demand. Today, Bake-lite products are produced in a. 40,000 sq ft factory at Narhe, with more than 300 employees and food technicians.
Embracing integrity and dedication, the Bake- lite team dared to defy conventions. While the bakery industry was often associated with non-vegetarian products, Bake-lite championed a “shudh shakahari” or pure vegetarian stance, prioritizing quality and hygiene. Under Sachin Malpani’s leadership, Bake-lite introduced automation, revolutionizing traditional bakery methods and setting new standards of efficiency and precision.
